Working at the Sale
Volunteers (team members) who work at least one 3 hour shift and consign at least 15 items, earn an additional 5%. If you would like to see available time slots to work, click on the Worker Information tab. If you would like to sign up to work, click on the Register to Work tab.
Our volunteer workers are the only way our sale happens. We are so thankful for you and all of your hard work! You are VERY valuable to us.
If you are considering signing up or already have signed up to be a volunteer worker, here are a few steps to help everything go smoothly.
- You will want to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will probably be on your feet for a majority of the time you are working. We want you to be comfortable!
What you will be doing during your shift, depends on the different needs we have at the time. We will always give complete and detailed instructions to workers so that they will be comfortable with the job assigned to them.
o Drop off day workers usually help us check in items and help place them on the sales floor as they come in.
o Shopping day workers will help us keep the sales floor picked up, un-tag items for shoppers while they are preparing to check out, and other tasks that we will have.
- Workers are required to sign in when they arrive for their shift. We need your signature to verify that you were there to work your shift. There will be a sign-in sheet located at the Jack-n-Jill work station.
We want you to enjoy yourself and have fun. We look forward to working with you at the sale!
- Workers are not allowed to bring their young children with them to work. If you are nursing a small infant there could be an exception, but you need to have it cleared and approved by the Jack-n-Jill staff before signing up to work.
